Steps to follow to apply for bursaries and scholarships

Easy steps to follow to apply for ALL the bursaries and scholarships you qualify for :

 

 

 

Please make sure to read the criteria carefully since not all bursaries and scholarships require all the documents listed below.

The GENERAL – APPLICATIONS section is open to everyone pursuing ANY POST-SECONDARY studies.

  1. Visit the Specific – Applications  page and narrow down what you can apply for. Then read the criteria
  2. Write a letter of intent : Who you are, what made you decide that specific education path, special qualities, talents, life challenges, etc. PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR NFSB EMAIL ADDRESS
  3. You need to provide one letter of intent with each bursary or scholarship you apply for (minor changes on your original one)
  4. Ask the teacher that knows you best to write you a letter of reference (don’t delay, many teachers write a limited number of letters)
  5. Ask someone who knows you (but does not work for the school board) to write a letter of reference : your boss, your neighbour, your best friends’ mom or dad, someone from an organization you are part of (such as sports, 4-H, church, etc.)
  6. Fill out the financial assessment form
  7. Include a copy of your Term 2 report card
  8. Include a copy of your MEQ achievement report (if you don’t know where it is, ask Spiro or the School Organization Tech if they can provide a copy for you).  You receive this in the mail.
  9. Once you receive your letter of acceptance, it is VERY IMPORTANT to email it to [email protected] or bring it to the office to the attention of the CVR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION.

Then bring everything to the main office.  There will be a box there to drop off your applications.

Your applications will be thoughtfully evaluated by dedicated community volunteers who generously contribute their time to review and score each submission. To ensure fairness and protect your privacy, all identifying information will remain hidden from the jury throughout the selection process. The recipient(s) will be announced during the graduation ceremony.
