Marian Anderson Memorial Bursary

The Marian Anderson Memorial Bursary was established in 2022 by her sons Bill and Doug Anderson.  This bursary was created to honor Mrs. Anderson’s love for music and its purpose is to reward a student who is passionate and excels in music, drama, dance and/or art and wishes to pursue his/her passion in their post-secondary studies. Students entering any art related program (whether it be in music, dance, theater, cinema, etc.) may apply for this bursary

Two (2) students will be awarded 500 $ each


Dr. Kevin P. Brissette Memorial Bursary
This bursary was set up in 2010 by Jocelyne Brissette to honour her husband’s memory. Graduates who plan to attend a 2 year pre-university program with the aim of entering MEDICINE, or ANY HEALTH PROGRAM at the university level as well as the students entering a Registered NURSING program may apply. 3 year CEGEP career programs also accepted.
One student is awarded 1000 $

Uniag Cooperative Bursary        
This bursary was established in 2008 by a donation from the Uniag Coopérative. The bursary 
is given to a student who will be pursuing post-secondary studies in AGRICULTURE.
One student is awarded 300 $

Mario Dumas Memorial Bursary
This bursary was established in 2018 to honour the memory of Mario Dumas’ unwavering dedication, immense contribution and steadfast commitment to his community including his involvement with youth and CVR High School. This bursary is awarded to a graduating student who is pursuing post-secondary education and has kept an overall averall of 70 % and over in grade 10 and 11.  This student is involved at school and in the community, has shown leadership skills and is a good ambassador of CVR High School.  The recipient of this bursary is carefully selected by the teaching staff of CVRHS.
One (1) 1000 $ bursary is awarded

Tony Evans Memorial Bursary
This bursary rewards athletic and academic excellence. It was established in 2016 and one student is awarded a trophy and a 1000 $ bursary to pursue his or her post-secondary studies.

Warren Grapes Agriculture Bursary
Starting in 2016, this bursary is awarded by the Quebec Farmers Association to one deserving student going into AGRICULTURE
One bursary of 500 $ is offered

The Anthony Faubert Memorial Bursary

The Anthony Faubert Memorial Bursary was established in 2022 to honour Anthony Faubert, a 2020 graduate of CVR. Anthony had a passion for cooking and all things food-related and was pursuing his studies at the École des métiers de la restauration et du tourisme de Montréal.

One (1) student will be awarded a bursary of 250 $ 


Huntingdon Academy Class of 1947 Bursary
The Huntingdon Academy Class of 1947 bursary was established in 2017. Any student in the graduating class is eligible to apply.
Two (2) students are awarded 500 $

Rev. John (Jack) C.T. Johnson Memorial Bursary
This bursary was established in 2008 with a very generous legacy from the Estate of Jack Johnson. Students in the graduating class are invited to apply for this bursary.
Two (2) students each receive 500 $

The Lajeunesse Bursary
Jessica Lajeunesse is a 2009 graduate of CVR who earned a degree in Aircraft Maintenance.  She wishes to encourage students who want to pursue a career in AVIATION or AEROSPACE, thus priority will be given to all applicants entering a field of study in aviation engineering, aircraft maintenance or any other program related to aviation or aerospace.  All students with a goal of pursuing a career in any other transportation field is invited to apply for this bursary as a recipient can be selected among all applications received.
One (1) students will be awarded 500 $ 

Pauline Lantz Smith Bursary
Pauline Lantz Smith Bursary was established in 2017 by Mrs Lantz Smith for students in the graduating class who are pursuing VOCATIONAL TRAINING.  After a life devoted to helping students achieve their full potential, Mrs. Smith sadly passed away in the Fall of 2020.
Two (2) students will be awarded 500 $ each

The Ronald and Iona Maither Memorial Bursary

Established in 2020, this bursary was created by Mr. Lyndon Maither to honor the memory of his parents,  Mr. Ronald Archibald Maither (Aug. 4th, 1930 – Oct. 2nd, 1999) and Mrs. Iona Eunice Lamb Maither (June 22nd, 1938 – Oct. 28th, 2019). All students of the graduating class who are pursuing post-secondary studies are invited to apply for this bursary.

Two (2) bursaries of 500 $ are awarded. 


The Arlie & Owen Ness Memorial Bursaries

Three bursaries of $1,000 awarded to graduating students pursuing a 3 year CEGEP career program who are also show involvement in their community, whether it is by participating in extra-curricular activities at school, being part of a sports team (outside of school), being involved in an organization such as 4-H or any other activity.  Please describe your involvement and your future career plans in your letter of intent. 


The D.R. Ness Bursary

This bursary is graciously offered by the D.R. Ness company of Howick, since 2024, to a graduating student pursuing a trade.

One bursary of 500 $ is available


The Osman Family Memorial Bursaries

These bursaries were established in 2022 by Mona Osman and April Wells, to honor Mona’s parents memory.  These bursaries are being offered to students pursuing their education in agriculture, trades, health care and science (and/or social science). Four (4) bursaries of 625 $


Vernon A. Pope Memorial Bursary
This bursary was established in 2008 by Valerie Tait to honor her father’s memory. This bursary is awarded to a student who will be pursuing post-secondary studies in a 2 year pre-university SCIENCE program.
The amount of this bursary is 1000 $

Rennie Memorial Bursary

This bursary was first awarded in 2004 through the establishment of a fund by Margaret Rennie Blank in memory of her father John Gillies Rennie and her aunt Alice Rennie. Open to all graduating students.
Two (2) students will receive 500 $ each

The Taverne de la Ferme Bursary

This bursary was established in 2020 and it is awarded to one student who is pursuing their education in a culinary program. It is designed for a student who is passionate about the culinary arts and who has a strong work ethic.

One bursary of 500 $ is offered.


Bea & Charlie Tully Memorial Bursaries
Established in 2015, two students intending to pursue a career in EDUCATION each receive 500 $

Wilfred & Jean Watson Memorial Bursaries
This bursary was set up in 2011 by Mackenzie (Mac) & Rena Watson in memory of his parents. Students intending to pursue a 2 year pre-university program in SCIENCE or COMMERCE leading to a B.Sc or B.Comm, may apply.
Three (3) bursaries of 1000 $ are awarded
